Sheila’s directing style is dynamic, physical, music driven, and ensemble based.

Her bold approach complements heightened language plays, and she excels at creating seamless, story driven transitions that work effortlessly with fast paced narratives and contemporary shows. Sheila enjoys brainstorming with design teams, stage management and production crews and sees directing as part of a larger collaborative process.

Rock’n’Roll Shakespeare - ongoing

Sheila is exceptionally skilled at cutting and directing 90 minute versions of Shakespeare’s plays. Her streamlined Shakespeare plays are sleek, playful, and accessible while honoring the poetic dimensions of the language.
